For live stuff I'll usually record myself jamming a bunch until i get a solid 7-10 minutes of material that i like and i'll meticulously practice that same 7-10 minutes with a timer going for weeks before performing it live. If a part feels like it's dragging i stop and restart and tweak what i'm do...

'Noise' projects that are just peoples full names are usually...99%...not noise but some alleged high concept sound art that also more likely than not is entirely boring and been done before. (Insert image of artist type looking introspective...looking not being..being more like marketing 101 class...

Exactly. The buttons come in handy for AB and XY simultaneous activation.

joystick is an 8-directional switcher. the top buttons are on/off switches for each channel and the bottom buttons are momentary switches.

I dripped period blood on my feet one day and decided to take a photo and that was the inspiration for the project. That and unbridled pandemic boredom. I may revisit this project someday when I'm bored enough again but for now it's a one-off.

Gen Thalz makes a couple HNW-specific synths that are pretty cool and relatively inexpensive. If youre on a tight budget tho try messing with making tape loops and a walkman, high gain distortion pedals and octave pedals. Danelectro and behringer are easily accessible and affordable brands.
