How about a Baskin Robbins themed 31 flavors of HNW comp?

At any rate, stock or bent, FAB Metals have maintained their incredibly low value at ~$20 a pop. Still a viable option. And it sounds like itself. It has its own unique character. Yes, it's a 90's/early-aughts metal distortion with a lot of mid-range skronk. It's a "generic" sounding, mass produced effect. But I could probably still pick it out if comparing it to the dozen-or-so distortions I've personally owned and extensively used over the years. It didn't sound quite like any of them. There's something to be said for this, even if you don't like the particular treble-y, nasal tone of it.

It also has a "fluffy", "fizzy", *other food-related adjective here* break up, if nothing else. Not at all tidy, despite being pretty monochromatic. So maybe it scores a few HNW points? :D
I own a Fab OD & it's seen decent use in a HNW setting. I will explore other pedals in their range. It's interesting how they've retained a semblance of affordability. Maybe due to still being in production? Thanks for the suggestion regarding the Fab Distortion I will aim to check this out, I've been gravitating toward the nasal trebles over the last couple of weeks so this should be perfect for me right about now. :D

I don't think I posted about it since mentioning it previously, but the Razor, while very cute, is a pretty ho-hum distortion with a rather smooth breakup. Obviously, it's still not without its uses, it's just not the right pedal to recommend here.

I've been curious about the Rowin Frenzy mini pedal fuzz, though. The demos sounded interesting.

And, not even trolling here, the Buzzbox. Overpriced stupid but sweet Jesus it could fuck up anything.

I think this pedal counts

Image

https://holyislandaudio.bigcartel.com/product/superfreq
Based on the discontinued Rattle Crow restive filter. The SuperFreq takes this input sensitive auto filter and blasts it with a square wave fuzz which results in some crazy other worldly noise that will fill a void in your sonic landscape you didn't even realise was there. Don't get me wrong, it's fully capable of traditional fuzz but where's the fun in that? This is 100% a pedal for the experimental and the adventurous. If you're tired of hearing the same old fuzz sounds then I highly recommend you pick this guy up. Every knob is highly reactive with how the others are set, so take your time and really dial in some unique freq-y destruction.
I picked it up last month and I have been able to create some fantastic sounds from it. Having not recorded any true "HNW" tracks to date, I reckon I could use this and a few others in my collection to give it a go. Mixing the structure and starve dials, you can create some really great crumbly patterns that interact with the filter to make a sort of pulsing rumble sound. Fun.

Looks interesting! I built a stripboard Rattle Crow a little while back, not entirely sure if it actually works the same as the real thing or not

The Super Freq sounds very similar to some of the settings on the Pickletech Mega-Berkatron. I wonder if the later was based on the same thing (I'm not familiar with the Rattle Crow). There's also the company, Feisty Little One that made some similar-sounding effects. I think it was two guys behind FLO, and Pickletech is a solo endeavor which branched out from the former (FLO seems to be less active, if not totally inactive, now), but uses some of the same ideas in newer designs.

Never even bothered trying to use it in a HNW context, but it could be neat.
