I'd rent a truck if this was free.

That would be a long ass drive. It is a beaut, I wonder if Daric still occupies that region.
When in doubt, add resistance.

$250. Buyer to collect. Only "6-800 pounds" and the size of a pallet of plywood. In Ohio.

I think this is the first time I've actually wanted to visit Ohio, someone noisy should buy this thing.

What would you actually use this for, though? Sure, $250 for something that big is impressive, but what rando needs something that large? It's obviously too large for use as a live instrument (imagine trying to floop on a mixer the size of your dining room table), and I can't see needing that many tracks for a noise recording, or any recording that doesn't need a full goddamn orchestra for that matter. It's just excessive for anyone who's not charging to use it.
Even if you took a few years and learned all the chords you'd still have a limited number of options. If you ignore the chords your options are infinite and you can master guitar playing in one day. - David Fair

Hahahaha.

I have numerous sources of audio and like to run stuff in parallel. Plus that desk looks suited for 8 track recorder work..

No argument there.. ;thinking:

...but, the roughly 5000 mile round trip does somewhat rule me out.

Plus it could sound like shit, hahaah

If you had the space this would be hilarious to own and yes imagine having that many inputs. If one channel dies whatever just switch to another. The floops...you could turn this into some sort of massive noise feedback proto synth type monster.
Just destroying and harvesting parts from it for non operable sculptures would be pretty damn cool let alone harvesting parts for workable devices.

Aside from this things location the only problems with it are the size and weight.
I mean it.may have some repair issues but lets just assume for fun its plug and play...lol probably not?

Things id run through this en masse...
a bunch of guitars,a percussion sample eseemble, radios, beats and drumming of various sort, tape decks no tapes just the sound of them running with blank tapes, people talking, wind relaxing noise wall, mics of various quality and type with each Mic having a corresponding speaker of variable type and qualify for feedback....and so on.

Forest for the trees y'all.

Cannibalize that beast of all electronic and electrical systems, wiring et. al.
Craigslist the chassis for the scrappers to get a taste.
Begin to build your noise generating device empire.

I would use the pre-amps and start building a few Hex-Fuzzes.

If I owned that amp I would sing "TITANO" to the tune of Gigantor.

Almost stuck this in the car thread:
