Damn that steak looks good.

As a family we are attempting to "do our bit" for the planet and trying to source local ethical food / seasonal veg where possible, plus using the new zero-waste larder shop we have in town.

I'm all for eating locally chopped up Beef, Pork, Lamb and Chicken! Seems mad how we ship it from all over the world. Brexit will change that a bit.

We camped at a Bison Farm at the weekend, where they also have a herd of Elk. So we BBQ'd Bison Burgers and steaks, plus had Elk Sausages and Eggs from their chickens. Those Bison steaks were super nice - hardly any fat and so tender. Wish it was more widely available in the UK to be honest, don't think there are many herds about!

Also: I generally don't want to piss off vegans, unless they piss me off first. You make your own choices, but don't make me make mine. Because then it feels like you are trying to push a religion on me, and that won't end well
