BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER / Soloman Tump = SPLIT C38
I am chuffed with how this one turned out - featuring BCS on side A, and myself on side B, around 16 minutes each of clank, squeal, calm and noise.
This was a nice exploratory track for me, I enjoyed making it. Not released an extended "noise" piece like this before. I used my home made stainless steel percussive thingy, synth, effects pedals, some wire wool, a few different screws and nails.
This link will be live from tomorrow for Bandcamp Friday - https://solomantump.bandcamp.com/album/split
There is a digital bonus track from me on there as well.
The BCS track is sweet, he really cranks up the SHRILL on this one

Re: BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER / Soloman Tump = SPLIT
link is dead for me.
listening to your grim's ditch release instead. some nice tracks but I don't think it quite works as an album / concept. maybe you should have included more information on grim's ditch? I know it exists near here, where I live, that's all

Thanks for listening to Grim's Ditch. The digital download comes with the sleeve in pdf and some words explaining. As with all my "concept" releases, I did quite a bit of research on the subject.
So Grim's Ditch and Weland are the first 2 parts of a folk-lore inspired trilogy; I am working on the final part now.1, Discordant Portal
In ancient texts of Oxfordshire
lore, it is written that over a
single night the Devil and his Imp
ploughed a series of great ditches
across the Vale of White Horse.
Combined with a horrific storm that
battered the landscape, the Vale was
reshaped forever.
2, Crooked Furrow
As was often the case, The Devil's
Imp became distracted from the task
and furrowed in an awful malformed
line.
The Devil was enraged!
He threw his ploughshare at the
infernal creature which worsened the
scarring across the Vale.
3, The Imp's Share
The Devil s rage had created a
deformed mound which some now
refer to as a tump.
Climbing atop this vantage point
you can trace the Imp s cursed
route across The Vale.
The ditch followed no defined
boundary nor natural contour.
4, Grim's Ditch
The Devil and his Imp had formed
Grim s Ditch. It is said that
trekking along the ditch at night is
to walk in the footsteps of the
Devil s own rage.
The pilgrim's body will take a
twisted abnormal route and the mind
will wander it s own dark path.
Tread with care!

I was walking the dog to this one this morning. Side one with the pitched down chime sounds was nice. Side two leans on some shrill scraping noises from time to time. Two solid examples of long form noise. It has a vibe and it sticks to it.

I finally got around to doing my own DIY tape release.

Not a team player. Doesn't take unsolicited advice. Otherwise charming...
