Soloman Tump sound experiments
Will stick all of my tracks in this topic.....
A 20+ minute electronic noise experiment - various bleeps and bloops all created with hardware.
It was a semi-generative patch with influences by me along the way to create a sort of dialogue. 2 machines flirting? Disagreeing? But ultimately, getting along fine by the end. Maybe.
Added a bit of reverb in FL Studio afterwards because I thought it sounded a bit dry.

Re: Soloman Tump sound experiments
Yeah it does boop boop boop on a bit too long, I was going to edit it down but decided to leave it at that length. Raw as recorded. Truth be told, I went to the toilet half way through recording and the machines were left doing their own thing for a few minutes so that's probably what happened there!

Steven Stapleton famously let his machines play without physical interaction when he made Soliloquy for Lilith. But speaking more to the "left the stage to go to the toilet during a performance" subgenre, I've seen shows where Thomas Fehlmann of The Orb and Grimes have done this live.Soloman Tump wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 2:02 am Yeah it does boop boop boop on a bit too long, I was going to edit it down but decided to leave it at that length. That's what the Rita did last year at tulsa noise fest...turned a knob once or twice maybe. Maybe...he sat in a chair walked around and looked at a poster of a balerina.Pigswill wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:10 pmSteven Stapleton famously let his machines play without physical interaction when he made Soliloquy for Lilith. Re: Soloman Tump sound experiments
I uploaded a noise inspired DJ mix.
30 minutes of stuff played straight from vinyl, recorded in one take with no tidying up after. I will be doing more "isolation mixes" over the coming days / weeks / years / etc there is already a techno/electronica mix on that mixcloud link if that floats your boat. Cheers.

Given the amount of variety in this, it blended together really well.Soloman Tump wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:18 pm I uploaded a noise inspired DJ mix.
