Do Not absolutely (maybe with proper supervision) Do Not get a pet unless its a service animal designed for people with your situation.
Animals as pets are not accessories or like an imanimate object obtained for some form of relief.
The possible exceptions being somethings like a gold fish, a cricket, maybe a tree/plant?

I like plants. Get some of those. Grow them from seeds maybe.

Or buy a Cactus, bonsai. Carnivorous, fern etc.
