A lot of cultures would say otherwise. Some more than others and some like our western culture believe(in general for the average) that dreams are both 'real' and at the same time nonsense and/or simple natural brain "defragging" or/and divinely inspired/metaphysical and some mix of all of these.
People are more likely to talk about disease and body functions before they'll mention dreams. (A whole different thing about how people are afraid to be creative or mention creative/new thoughts)
Either way seeing how much dreaming has influenced human science and art and culture they are very important for us to experience and a good thing.
I see what you mean.

for me, the intersubjective importance of dreams belongs to "reality"... so nah I don't think I agree. not worth arguing about tho

you irrational monster

I have read philosophy, I am not a philosopher. I have written a poem, I am not a poet.

I have psychic powers; I am a psychic.

so far communism has failed 100% of the time. but capitalism has failed 100% of the time: and arguably always will. I reckon you cannot conclude that revolution has at least a 50% chance of not failing, making things better.

the question is can we learn enough from past failures to mitigate for how bad another failure would be?

I keep thinking about my grandfather, who died shortly before covid. atheist, I believe, with little fear of death... well he nearly died a few months before he did, and he changed a little, as if something had scared him, a "distressing NDE". is that my fate, to kick the bucket, screaming? if so, does it matter?
