Re: Comedy
If anyone's interested in crossing standup comedy with noise should check out Bill Hicks. Whenever he talks about Satan, he starts making gutteral noise into the mic. There are some better clips of that, but this one covers him pretty well overall:

Re: Comedy
Curb Your Enthusiasm took elements of mumblecore, Neil Hamburger, and postmodern anti-comedy, fusing them with Seinfeldxe2x80x99s borscht-belt humor, with David as its perfect conduit, the hapless, self-destructive schlemiel.

Re: Comedy
I once tried to combine noise and comedy, telling set ups with a punchline that was a misunderstanding of the punchline (I drove here, long drive, four hours it took, and boy are my arms tired). It was pretty horrible, to be honest.
I've been thinking of trying to do stand up again, but going clean and not being so confrontational. Brian Regan is my favourite comedian at the moment, it's nice to hear something that isn't angry bitching to a crowd of sealions.

Kind of a similar style to Regan.

He had a show on cable but it was too good.

Re: Comedy
I was wondering what the historical basis for it was or if it was purely fiction.
I do like Joan Rivers so it could be interesting.
Now lets do one loosely based on Redd Foxx.
