This is relevant for me. I've been thinking about finally buying the 13 Japanese Birds box set, or else the individual releases, since I've never owned any of them. Gotta catch 'em all.
And yet, I don't especially like the Important Records era of Merzbow releases, with exceptions, relative to other material before and since. They're definitely some of my favorites in terms of playful and ridiculous design (or perhaps anti-design).
Merzbuta might be my favorite Merzbow album cover, right down to the curly font MERZBOW logo.
