How did you end up making/listening to noise?

This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound.

I invented noise music back in the stoned age, all we had was rock back then

EDIT: True story.. back in 72 (I remember the Miami Dolphins winning the Superbowl) some kid in my class at Biscayne Gardens Elementary showed me how to make telephone pole guy wires make a funny sound.

Yes but...
I do remember Elvis dying and when Mtv first came on the air.
I remember when candy bars went from 25 cents to 50 cents and phone calls went from 10 cents to 25 cents a call.

Pac Man Fever!

I'm old enough to remember when noise
(I was 16 or 17 when I heard the term noise aside from the punk usage of noise not fucking noize thats a stupid 90s term and I hate it..no z in noise) was called experimental or maybe in very rare extra cool record stores industrial and also when all that and punk and anything else not metal or rnb or pop rock was in the alternative section.

Not 50 yet.

I'm, uh... 31? Pretty sure. 31 or 32.

I feel old. I know 31 isn't "old", but it's too young to be wondering "where all the time went". I cannot possibly live much longer. Anyone wanna buy some big box-format VHS porn? I'd rather not have people find that sort of thing after I'm gone. Kind of serious. "HMU", as they say. Mostly gay porn. Some bi stuff. The person I bought the lot off of was apparently really into bisexual/oral themes.

Do not be ashamed of your Porn unless its illegal. Keep those vhs in case the internet goes away. You'll want it then.
I also suggest investing in some good printed porn since it still works without electricity.

Oh I recall when vcrs were new and having a Porn tape was very big deal.

lol, yes, it's all legal.

I have a couple of magazines too. And some old 60's beefcake half-size magazines, which I'm actually sort of interested in collecting more of. Physique Pictorial and the like. They're like baseball cards for fags.

IDK. Maybe I'm a bit puritanical, but I'd rather some people not ever think of me as a remotely sexual being. Kind of a neurotic preoccupation in many ways. I wasn't even comfortable "admitting" I had pubic hair for a long time. I'm not entirely sure why.
