Re: Now Playing
More obscure miscellany courtesy of the Death Is Not The End label. There’s some really neat compositions in here, it's just too bad the quality makes them nigh-unlistenable. I don’t know if it’s because these 60+ year old radio recordings really sounded that bad to begin with, or if they were poorly mastered after the fact in a failed attempt to resuscitate them: either way, there’s practically no low or high end in the final product. Every track sounds like it was recorded on a mid-00’s cell phone in an Iranian bathhouse; there’s this sort of uncanny quality to them which I’d almost consider clever if it weren’t so obnoxious.

Re: Now Playing
Oddly satisfying to listen to mini-documentary on the history of psychedelic music, from its roots in late-19th century symbolism to modern day. It touches on early electronic music, the beatnik generation, musique conrète and even Luigi Russolo so there's bound to be something here of interest for most people here:

Welcome back! Good choice, too. Easily in my top 25 noise albums (technically a ‘best of’-like compilation but tomayto tomahto).PortiaPorcupineFan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 8:36 am Masonna "Noskl In Anna"

By the way, I did not forget about those field recordings I asked you for a couple months (?!!) ago. I am just lazy and a fuck-up. Had some complications with gear I wanted to use to process the files and then I lost my motivation, but I still intend to send you something "eventually".
