There’s a difference between appreciating vintage automobiles and being sexually aroused by them: both camps exist simultaneously in the real world. I submit to you that, in this regard, noise is no different from vintage automobiles.

I got some bad news but alot of people have had sex in cars and even a few with cars.
Fetishism isn't neccessarily sexual.
What is commodity fetishism in anthropology?
Fetishism in anthropology refers to the primitive belief that godly powers can inhere in inanimate things (e.g., in totems). or noise or cars.
TBH I don't think most people doing or listening to noise are sexual aroused by it. If anything most of that comes from the packaging and associated imagery and not the noise itself.

Well there was that one anti antifa release where the guy jacked off on all the copies but I think his motivation was completely different.
But I wanted to clarify that fetishization isn't exclusively a sexual concept

no ofc not. someone once had a go at me for joking I was a virgin in my 30s. I almost was! here's hoping for my 40s anyway.
I've never put my obsessions on record. which i think, if I had to choose a side, would be a bad thing.
