Although tbh the music I make is not noise. Too much repetition and structure. But I like noise and appreciate it for what it is, and I like including some noise elements to my work.
I don't feel rooted in one particular scene is what I mean. I dip my toe into various scenes but do not feel part of any of them. I know a few people here and there.
Like i'm not a goth or a noise head. I don't dress a particular way to show my allegiance to a particular movement (although yeah, I've got some t-shirts).
I have a broad spectrum of influences which I hope shows through in my zines a bit. It's not all noise or techno or whatever. In the very first issue of Snare Rush zine I did a "wheel of influence" which covered all the different sorts of sounds I enjoy listening too. I guess I could update that and do it again, as it's changed a bit in 2016. '
As for communism - I purposefully try to stay clear of politics in my zines. There's enough of that in the wider world if that is what you want.
