I'm painting a door.. I hate it when the paint drips or pools up in areas you didn't want it to or the masking doesn't work.. fucking annoying
Shitty tape...so annoying.
The paint drips are may be your fault
I assume you werent using shitty cheap paint...if ya were then well then its the paints fault...good coatings level out well and don't do that if apllied properly. Pittsburgh brand industrial coatings are my suggestion...Benjamin Moore brand is alright too.

That's debatable.. seeing as how I was specifically trying to avoid drips. I'm using a Behr premium paint and a roller. I guess next time I should use two rollers.. one to apply paint and then another as a blotter. The door also has these thin grooves in it that are part of the design that attract paint blobs so I had to keep running a thin brush through them to make sure there was no extra paint in them to pool.. really tedious work.. plus it's double doors with side lights.. not a small job.. the masking on one side took an hour alone to do.

Did ya prime it first?
That helps a lot.
First a light coat..let that dry then a second coat..maybe a brush and a roller?

I just noticed my front door needs painting...
It is primer and pigment but yeah two coats and sanded after the first.. yes brush, roller. It's not my first rodeo son! The drips aren't noticeable unless you are looking for them.. I'm being hyper critical because I was going to pay some asshole to do it but he didn't show up and fuck that guy I'll do it myself.. can't imagine how shitty or expensive it would have been after having a "professional" do it.

I cant get rid of this cardboard fast enough and it's piling up... I just bought some more Kallax shelves and guess what more fucking cardboard!
I always think that maybe I can do something with it..a piece or two...then realize that no I probably won't paint or draw on it.
That all annoys me...I want to do something with the cardboard but it never happens.
Decent ideas that never happen.
If measured against the bad ideas that never happen I guess its ok considering how bad some of the ideas are the trade off is fair...still annoyed

I mean at least at my old place I could just burn that shit.. but now I can't really and at the old place I could discretely stuff it in my neighbors recycle bins and we had an extra bin.

I could just toss it on the woods and nobody would say anything or just pile it up in the front yard and we can burn whatever we want...and apparently roofing shingles and old railroad ties and trash also.
On a nice sunny cold winter day there is nothing like the smell of burning trash...makes me wanna kill...assholes.
The guy that owns the new gunshop in town was buring something that was putting out roiling thick toxic black smoke that was covering the hiway...fucking hate that guy and hopes his wife xheats on him and her and her boyfriend plot his murder and make an attempt but it only results in his hands and feet rotting off...double ass and face fuck that guy...not to death just to hand and footlessness.

Reminds me of one of the places I lived in Chicago. Myself and two of my classmates from SAIC moved from the shitty lofts we were living in South Loop to Wicker Park. The SAIC housing director had bought this condemned house so it was super cheap to rent.. downside was that it needed work.. my bedroom for example just had a sheet of plywood over the window and I had to stuff old blankets in it to keep out the drafts ( I hate the cold). Anyway it was still summer when we first moved in and Jim the owner was living in the attic and also in the process of refurbing it by stripping all the lathe and plaster off the walls and then burning it in a woodstove. Well the smoke did not go unnoticed since nobody in their right mind would need heating during a summer day in Chicago and several firetrucks showed up. They admonished Jim and told him not to do that and left. Then 4th of July rolled around and we had a BBQ and bottlerocket war in the backyard where we used an old toilet for a grill which was a dumb idea because the toilet immediately cracked and we ended up eating semi uncooked chicken and somehow did not start a fire with all the fireworks going off randomly.
Side note.. Jim was a bit of a dumbass with large sideburns that wear shaved to points going to his mouth. He had this huge scar on the inside of one arm because (not sure if it was the same house) he was working on the upper story back deck of a house and lost his footing and just stupidly stepped off the deck thinking there were stairs were there weren't and in a split second thought to save his life grabbed the 4x4 and slid down it and sliced open his arm in the process.
