I built a clone of that a while back... never could figure out whether I'd done something wrong or if it was just supposed to sound like that.

I have a DIY fuzz box that someone else made... every time you touch the aluminium outer case it causes the signal to HUM pretty loud... I assume this is not meant to happen.
My electronic diagnostic skills are somewhat still lacking but I assume its a stray wire touching the case on the inside? I might take it apart and have a look?
