Granular synthesis is also capable of similar sonic results.
Yes, Granular synthesis attracts me very much for experiments, the very first granular synthesis I spent in the Native Instruments Reaktor tool and it was very cool, since then a lot of time has passed and a lot of similar tools have been created, what pleases me most is that you can even use the phone or tablet play with granular synthesis.
All of the above methods of Merzbow are most likely to be such, he is a lord of noise and will probably use many other methods besides the above.
Here is very short video with Granular sound.
Looks like a good app, I will check it out cheers.
I forked out for this pedal last year which is brilliant (first photo), the sonic possibilities are pretty endless to be honest. You have 2 active parameters to adjust, and 16 different algorithms to choose from. Plus feedback looping, tone control and CV input to control one of the parameters. There is an updated version (in the second photo) but it looks like just cosmetic changes.

Just looking video Pladask Elektrisk Fabrikat... so cool pedal, not only for noise, im learning to play guitar and that sound so Great for me. But so a lot of money...

Yes its a great bit of kit, the version I have was order through ballot only and I thought I would give it a shot, didn't realise I would be selected. Carriage charges also made it even more expensive but I am very happy with it. You can get it self-oscillating with no-input if you turn it up loud enough for some interesting results.
It would be great with guitar - most demo videos on youtube seem to only be for guitar (standard)
The little Korg Monotron and this make a great combination.
