The Coffee Thread
I'm having some locally roasted Ethiopian with spoonful of chocolate syrup (not Hersheys its flavor overwhelms I think) and small tiny bit of milk. Traded some old role playing books for 1/2 pound and I bought a 1/2 lb.
Not sure if its Yirgachefe or just wherever Ethiopia.
I like it.
Tried some Papua New Guinea dark roast coffee while I was at the shop. It was heavy duty serious coffee. Very strong. Could have used just a bit of sweetener and a dash of a milk(or whatever cream type product you prefer).

Re: The Coffee Thread
I've been buying bottled cold brew lately. Throw some ice in a cup, pour in some coffee, fill the rest with water. It's refreshing!

Re: The Coffee Thread
I would rather drink 1 good cup of coffee a day, than the 3 or 4 shite cups of instant stuff I have while at work.
My wife's sister brought us back some Costa Rica beans at the start of the year and whilst very mellow in strength, have a nice taste.

Re: The Coffee Thread
I use a French press and this time(the Ethiopian coffee mentioned above) I got my coffee ground espresso fine and while that makes it more difficult to press down (it can gush out the side if not careful) I think the flavor is much much better than with the regular French press grind.
I usually have 2 cups a day.
I don't care for mediocre coffee.
Ill drink iced tea...no sugar...instead.

Re: The Coffee Thread
There is a new roasting place opened up in the town near me, but due to plaguetimes I have not been able to visit yet. Will definitely hit them up soon (probably in the new year)
Still trying to kick the 3 or 4 shit cups of instant Maxwell House that I drink during a days work (lol got one on the go now)
Maybe something to do in the new year....

Instant coffee...
I'd have a Dr pepper or Pepsi before instant coffee. Ive never had any instant coffee that didn't taste like burnt pencil shavings. Cafe Bustello espresso has an instant version that is so fucking vile that eventually after 3 or 4 years I used it to stain some wood...its better as wood stain.
