what do you dislike about noise?

This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound.

Joking about Greh.

RRON did during his epic tantrum/meltdown and the subsequent collapse of the board. I asked him if he was out of weed.

Hey I got banned too!
Once or twice...
But I did win the 'vote me in or out' I started so fuck that ban!

The ban that was really funny was when I posted a pic of a trash bag with a baby in it as a reply to some lady...and told her to use her baby as a dildo or something along those lines. It was all in fun but Rrron thought it was over the line...I was just speaking my mind and got no due process :D

I do believe this was part of what I posted that helped get me banned.

I think ive told this story already?

I mean it was in MISC and if I recall she was using ad hominem attacks so I did my thing.

I don't like when people act...fucking act...like something some noise person does is shocking(in the uncool manner not the good shocking like BRR with bags of doritos and a leaf blower) or too much. Its noise and its gonna get crazy and fucking stupid sometimes that the nature of noise.
Not that I am approving stupid shit but its gonna happen.

shit like limited to 3 copies tape releases and the tape is sealed inside a bag full of water inside a hand painted box
So you are new to Noise, welcome.
haha thanks
the bag of water thing is a reference to something i actually saw in MRR back in the early 90s
i still find it annoying

i get the point someone made about not wanting to get stuck with 100 but cmon, 10 or less copies? why?

*shrug*. I think there are a lot of factors at play which determine how quickly/"well" X-number of noise releases from any artist will sell. I've made only a few releases, and only one in an edition greater than ~5-20. I have probably sold--not traded, not given away, not bartered for "store credit" or a soda--maybe 5-10% of releases I've manufactured and/or directly distributed over the past 15+ years.

I can't be bothered with brown-nosing or self-promotion, trying to present myself as someone more interesting/enigmatic than I really am (selling a persona as opposed to actual releases). That shit is exhausting. I don't see being a noise scene darling/"cultural voice" as any kind of sustainable (or even desirable) career path. Noise is a hobby for me.

It is a hugely impractical waste of time and resources for me to make more than 10 copies of anything.

Seems like you have the right idea. I do a brand new label and for the most part have only released things that I think more people should know about, so by it's very nature it's not "popular" stuff. I've done between 25 or at most 50 of certain releases and nothing has sold out, and even when it does, I may not repress because selling all 25 copies over 6 months to a year tells me that was probably like 90% of the audience that's gonna buy it within the next few years. (free downloads are another story)
I totally agree, when you are actually sitting there looking at 25 tapes, you think "man, that doesn't look like very much", but for anything that's not Koufar or Richard Ramirez it's probably enough without, as FAP pointed out, having your kids fight over who has to get rid of all these cdrs after you die.
