I have that same cat keyboard... Somehow, the rubberized exterior got all gummy, so it mostly just hides in a corner now.

Oh yeah I have all sorts of 90s and early 00s electronics that had this stupid soft feel coating that turns to shit after a few years. Same reason I passed one up when I saw it in a thrift a year ago.
