dunno what I think about the whole nutsy noise thing really, not really. nazism is an abomination, but it's gotta keep existing, then one may well prefer it does in fringe, licentious, musical scenes, where the nazis are non violent, and can pass as gay bears.

moussilini was a street fighter.

I'd probably be "friends" with a nutsy, for so long as I could challenge anything racist they said and I could undermine their absurd reactionary agenda.

real men. haha joke

I guess but if you haven't noticed extreme right wingism is on the move these days and is more mainstream than it's been in decades. I don't think this is really reflected by the number of nutsies real or imagined in the noise scene but the number of people in noise that like what they like and say they don't care about the beliefs of the person making it is the "color blind/all lives matter" equivalent of the noise scene imo

No results found for "metaverse for prisons".

makes total sense tho... prison psychologists in charge of the environment today. all that

they're not meant to be about pain, but recovery and protection.

There was an article about the possibility of making someone think they have served years in prison but they in fact haven't. Personally I think this may be more cruel than the current prison system in some ways. I question if that would even work .. I mean it'd be horrible but then you're back on the street the next day.. at least when a violent criminal is jailed you know they are off the streets

This is an older but not old sci-fi trope. Charles Stross maybe mentioned the idea? Iain M Banks maybe? Good writers either way. The idea of a 1000 years in a day was also if I recall used to make somebody a 'meta master' of sword fighting or whatever....practicing martial arts katas for a virtual 1000 years or more.
Also an idea in an other recent article about erasing memories(in a snail I believe) so that memory of spending a 1000 years in prison could be erased...but the other damage that a 1000 years in prison would do to a persons psyche would probably be something worse than insane and make the person useless or even more dangerous.
It really seems pointless as a punishment except to torture or threaten someone with and of it was a punishment you'd have to dispose of the person afterwards I would think

Was it Gene Wolf in the fifth head of Cerberus?

George Alex Effinger? This guy is worth checking out for his early(1980s) portrayal/inclusion of trans people, brain modifications in a near future cyberpunk accurate muslim setting!
