'''KIRA''' is the harsh noise/HNW project of recording artist Vincent Ceraso, based in Sewell, New Jersey, USA. KIRA is a "sequel" to Ceraso's predecessor noise project Blutbad, which had twenty-three releases before being left behind to pursue KIRA. The debut self-titled demo was released on October 7th, 2015, and unlike Blutbad, this first release was very well-received by noise enthusiasts. What started out as strictly harsh noise wall soon began focusing more on harsh noise and drone, but still keeping in touch with traditional HNW. The KIRA albums usually consist of one to three or more tracks, and are often times written as concept albums, with dark themes surrounding the tapes, such as World War 2, for example. Influences include Prurient, Vomir, Merzbow, Full of Hell and Nine Inch Nails.

Bio

Conceived in the fall of 2015, KIRA is a harsh noise wall project based in New Jersey, USA. KIRA is the successor to Blutbad, a similar project that had 23 releases before being abandoned for KIRA. The self-titled demo was released on October 7th, 2015. The title of the project is a refence to the anime/manga series Death Note.

In the early days of KIRA, there was a lot of experimentation with not only traditional harsh noise wall, but harsh noise, power electronics, drone, and even industrial; 2016's Modernism Tragedy, the second full-length album, is an example of such experimentation. However, as of June 2018, the project is now strictly harsh noise wall. To date, KIRA has released 8 full-length albums. The inaugural full-length Saturn Devouring His Son was released on October 31st, 2015.

The majority of KIRA's discography is self-released, however, two particular netlabels, HNW [U.K.] and LSD Induced Nightmares Records [U.S.] have put out several releases.

On May 12th, 2017, KIRA released KIRA III. After that, the project went on hiatus for over a year until June 2018 with the release of it's better to live in solitude.
