Background
RIP Thin E String was recorded a day before it's release. It was Dr. Failure's fourth improvisational guitar jam release. It's called "RIP Thin E String" because in "Mitochondria Shutdown/Moist Vagina (Nirvana Cover)", they popped their top E string. Of course, at the time, Dr. Failure was not a trained guitarist, just a person with a guitar, playing notes out, not knowing any of the technical stuff, just how to make sound come from the strings.
Gear and Equipment
Dr. Failure used a Peavey Rockmaster guitar, the included stock guitar amp, and a Macbook for recording.
