Bio

Catharsiss is an experimental noise project, featuring Keith Suchland, originating in Tampa Florida, in 1999.
Catharsiss' sounds are based on white noise layering and manipulation, coupled with a variety of other sounds, such as electrical, natural, and weather related.

Initially begun under the name of Alzheimer's Paycheck, in 1989, he changed the name Catharsiss in 1999 following a decision to shift his focus keyboard sourced ambient to, instead, white noise manipulation.

Catharsiss began performing live, as a duo, in 2003, performing about a half dozen shows from 2003-2008, including appearances at the Tampa Noise fest, and St Petersburg Noise fest.

After the release of Listening To The Fingerprints, Will Bring About Answers, Catharsiss went on hiatus, from 2009-2012.
Beginning in early 2013 through 2014, Keith began contributing to a number of splits, released by Shit Noise Records, under the Catharsiss name, and then, again, went on hiatus in early 2015.

Withe the exception to a isolated split contribution, released by TRASHFUCK Records, in 2018, Catharsiss has remained dormant.
