The Insane Clown Posse (ICP) is an American rap duo originally from Wayne, Michigan but formed in the Detroit neighborhood of Delray, consisting of Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (Joseph Utsler). The group was originally part of a larger group known as Inner City Posse, who broke up in 1992. They almost always display themselves in character in full black and white "evil clown" makeup, typically in the form of a "happy face." The group has obtained one platinum album and four gold albums as well as their own feature film, their own wrestling federation, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, and has a dedicated following of fans, known as Juggalos and/or Juggalettes. In 2003, Blender magazine named the group "The Worst Artist(s) in Noise History".

...seriously though, here's the deal

See back in the day there used to be a tall pyramid in Kansas city which some said contained the mysteries of the universe. But then what they didn't know is the flamberuouw ov destruktion hath commeth thru,, ya dig?

i mean, ya gotta dig so when japan bombred perl harbor the US struck back with several cheesy hollywood movies about it, jhust to show them asians who's boss. Ya dig? cool So then years went by and president Stephen Stapler called a meeting in the oval room with all the noise artists of the world. And he took one good look at em an he said: boys - I WANT YOU to put those slant-eyed bastards out of business. He was of course referring to the Japanese. So then they all braistormed for a couple of hours and decided to create a new groundbreaking style of music called Weird Noise - in order to compete against the rising Japanoise phenomenon. This movement spawned such legendary acts such as ORGANIC JOJO, BLEEDED WALLRUSSELS, AMARDIWOOI412, ZAPPED LAZER GUTS and GEOPHISIK OVERWHELMNESS (to name a few).

Betrayal

A few weeks later many Weird Noise artists converted to Japanoisism and instantly started to release countless 1-sided polyacetate CDRs, 10" tapes, limited edition EPs. You should know, you were one of them.

Etc.

And the rest is history.
